Cataract Surgery
Logan County Hospital would like to congratulate Dr.
Clifford of Fry Eye Associates of Garden City on five
successful years of serving the residents of Logan
County.
Dr. Clifford began performing cataract surgery at Logan
County Hospital April 15th of 2003. He has performed
nearly 500 cataract surgeries since then.
Dr. Clifford was instrumental in helping the Hospital
acquire a new phaco machine, a specialty instrument
used for cataract surgeries. The new machine was
first used in 2007 and provides technology to the
Logan County area that exceeds that available in many
other larger NW Kansas facilities. New in 2008 is a
single-chip camera so the cataract surgery may be
viewed on a screen for all surgical staff to see as the
operation happens.
Dr. Clifford joined the Fry Eye Associates practice in
1995. He completed a joint fellowship in the
sub-specialties of cornea and glaucoma and spent a
year on staff at the prestigious King Khaled Eye
Specialty Hospital in Saudi Arabia. He is also certified
by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is very
active within the Kansas State Ophthalmology Society.
Logan County Hospital would like to thank Dr. Clifford
for his contributions to our mission of providing
high-quality healthcare to the Logan County area and
looks forward to many more successful years.
